Description
Quite a while since I submitted anything here, so I though I'd submit my last piece...This is meant to illustrate one of my characters, Arodhi, the villain of my story. It's also sort of an exercise to draw swords and...things, as I tend to focus on the characters and nothing else. Each of the items holds a certain significance - the medallion is slightly magical, and the only memory he has of his mother except for a painting of her, and it's also a sign that he is a sorcerer and the path of life he took. (the pattern on the sides of it seems random for a reason). The sword is his first sword, 3000 years old, and marked by battle. The paper and feather pen holds a significance as well. It's a part of the series, of the swords or items of some of my main characters - this is the fire element, as opposed to the heroine, where the ice is the main element. Oh well, enough talk from me now... Colours in Photoshop CS2, then blending and detail work in Painter 8.
